MOGADISHU (Halbeeg News) – Former Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo’s government had established a strong intelligence agency for the past years, former boss of Somali National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) has boasted.
In an interview with one of Somali media, Fahad said NISA had reached far to get intelligence reports of Al-Shabaab fighters and their plans.
Fahad further noted that the agency succeeded to foil planned attacks by Al-Shabaab.
He boasted that he successfully expelled foreign moles who operating from the agency’s headquaters in Mogadishu.
“Fahad Yasin continues “When I became NISA director, each department was headed by a foreigner. Foreign countries were financing each department/unit of NISA. I cleansed the foreign elements off in the running and ended their intervention within NISA,”
Fahad served the agency for more than two years before he was moved to to serve as then President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo’s political advisor.
