Bosaso (Halbeeg News) – A four fierce fighting between forces allied to President Abdullahi Deni and a section of the Puntland Security Forces in December last year had damaged a one million USD worth property in Bosaso town of Puntland state, a newly released report confirmed.
A report released by a committee to assess caused by the fighting said at 22 people mostly civilians were killed and 86 others were wounded during the clashes.
Over 206 homes and factories, a mosque were destroyed.
A dispute over the dismisal of Puntland Security Forces (P{SF) boss Mohamed Diano had led both Puntland troops and forces loyal to Diana to engage in fighting.
Deni sacked Mohamed on November 24 last year.
Mohamed who took over from his elder brother Assad Diano in January 2018 as head of PSF refused to leave office and has been leading a faction of PSF which remained loyal to him.
