MARKA (Halbeeg News) – Southwest state leader, Abdiaziz Hassan Lafta-gareen has sacked Lower Shabelle governor, Mohamed Abdirahim Noor amid the intensified military operations against al-Shabaab fighters in the region.
In a statement, the leader has replaced Noor with Ibrahim Adan Ali Najah, the former Minister of Youth and Sports.
Laftagareen did not give any reason for the dismissal of the outgoing former governor.
This would be the third Najah appointed Governor of Lower Shabelle region.
