BELEDWEYNE (Halbeg News) – Hirshabelle state leader Ali GudlaweHussein has arrived in Beledweyne amid the huge presence of rival forces in Somalia town.
Beledweyne town in the Hiiraan region is in preparation to host parliamentary elections.
The leader was well received by government officials led by deputy Yussuf Dabageed and regional officers.
According to the officials, Gudlawe will be visiting venues to hold elections. Elections of about 25 lower house seats are expected to take place in Beledweyne town.
This is Gudlawe’s first visit to Beledweyne since assuming the presidency.
Meanwhile, rival forces led by Col. Nur Dheere have reportedly shelled the airport. Casualties of the shelling are yet unknown as Hiiraan authorities have not yet commented on the issue.
