MOGADISHU (Halbeeg News) – Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo held a telephone conversation with his Kenyan Uhuru Kenyatta on Saturday night.
The two leaders discussed on means to enhance trade between the two countries which share 800km-long border stretching from Bula-Hawa to Raas Raas.
In a statement, Villa Somalia said the two presidents’ talks aimed at boosting trade and deepening bilateral links.

The two leaders also discussed the bilateral issues and security matters of the two countries.
They aimed at bolstering cooperation between Somali and Kenya.
“The president of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo has made a telephone call to Uhuru Kenya of Kenya tonight (Saturday night). They discussed economic and security issues,” the statement reads in part.
The remarks come barely four months after Somalia started exporting fish to Kenya.
Fish traders in the port of Kismayo in June started exporting fish to Kenyan town thanks to better refrigeration.
Kingfish and tuna are the most popular.
