MOGADISHU (Halbeeg News) – Former Deputy Chief of National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA), Abdalla Abdalla Mohamed has been removed from the membership of the agency.
Mid-July, Mr. Mohamed was relieved of his duties as deputy Chief of NISA.
The Agency on Saturday accused the official of breaching the agency’s regulations.
NISA cited that in an interview with the media Mr. Mohamed disclosed classified information.
“Following the (media) interview of Gen. Abdalla Abdalla Mohamed in which he cited accusations, a committee tasked to probed, (the conclusion), the committee decided that he doesn’t deserve to continue to be a member of NISA,” the agency said.
Late last Month, Mr. Mohamed in an interview with VOA Somali said Al-Shabaab had infiltrated the agency’s operations.
He also accused the heads of the Spy Agency of not informing him of his sacking and the reason for the dismissal.
