Intergovernmental Authority for Development( IGAD) has terminated the job of Col. Gabre as senior political advisor to the executive secretary Mahbub Moalim.
A statement issued from the office of IGAD executive security said that the Col. Gabre was relieved of his duty with effective from 25th June 208.
“ This is an official notice of termination of your service as senior political advisor to the executive secretary with effect from 25th June 2018” the letter reads a part.
He was asked to hand over all the assets of IGAD under his charge including furniture.
“This is to kindly request you to handover all property of IGAD including office equipment, furniture and other property under your custody to administration and finance division on 25th June 2018 before 2:30 pm.
The reason behind the firing of the of Col. Gabre was not mentioned in the issued statement. No official was so far appointed to replace col. Gabre.
Gabre was the supreme commander of Ethiopian defense in Somalia before he was appointed as senior political advisor to the executive secretary of IGAD.
