High-level delegation from International Community has on Tuesday reached Dhusamareeb town for the first time since Galmudug state and Ahlusuna Waljama’a jointly signed agreement last month.
The delegates from UN, AU, Turkey and United States were welcomed at Ugas Nur Airport by offcials including Federal government’s representative for Galmudug-Ahlusunna deal implementation, Abdisamad Moalim Mohamud.
They are anticipated to attend the ongoing Security Conference which is to be concluded today in Dhusamareeb town.
The meeting which kicked off on Sunday focuses on wide range issues including means to improve security, restoration of peace in the state and the fight against Al-shabaab.
Ahlusuna Waljama’a which has been controlling Dhusamareeb, the capital city of Galmudug state since 2014 has emerged with Galmudug state last month following a historic deal.
The leader of Ahlusuna, Sheikh Mohamed Shakir was named as Galmudug first chief minister.
