ADDIS ABABA (Halbeeg)- The world’s most advanced humanoid robot, Sophia on Saturday held meeting with first African leader in Addis Ababa after her lost body parts recovered.
Her press conference scheduled for Friday at the Ethiopian National Museum in Addis Abab was cancelled earlier after a bag containing some of the robot’s parts was lost at Frankfurt airport.
It is yet unclear what Ethiopian Prime Minister, Abiy Ahmed and Sophia talked about during the meeting as Ethiopian government has not yet commented on today’s meeting.
According to BBC, Sophia isn’t pre-programmed with answers. Instead, she uses machine learning and responds by reading people’s expressions.

Sophia prior her visit to Addis Ababa, sh has been programmed to speak Amharic, Ethiopia’s official language which would be her second language after English.

Getnet Asefa, the manager of Icog Labs – the engineering firm behind her Amharic programming, explained that Sophia, who was activated in 2015 was fixable and they would find alternative parts for her
She was officially granted citizenship in October 2017 during her visit to the Investment Summit in Saudi Arabia’s capital, Riyad.
Since creation by Created by Hong Kong firm Hanson Robotics, Sophia met with famous people.
In March this year, she met Willard Carroll Smith an American actor.
She also addressed United Nations saying She was there to humanity create the future.
