The President of breakaway Somaliland, Muse Bihi Abdi on Tuesday evening travelled to United Arab Emirates (UAE) amid high tension between Somalia and UAE.
Bixi and his delegation took a private jet reportedly sent by the Emirate government.
The delegates accompanying the President include the leader of the opposition party, UCID, Faisal Ali Warabe and several ministers of his government.
The discussions between Somaliland delegation and Emirates leaders will focus on the controversial Berbera deal signed between DP World, Ethiopia and Somaliland.
The trip of the Somaliland leader comes a day after Somalia Lower House issued resolution banning DP World company from Somalia.
Early March, DP World has disclosed tripartite agreement granting Ethiopia 19% sharehold, Somaliland and the company secured 30% and 51% stakes respectively
