Mogadishu (Halbeeg News) – Somalia and Djibouti have agreed to cooperate on the Military amid the horn of the Horn African nation intensified operations against al-Shabaab.
Djibouti pledged to support Somalia’s ongoing war against terrorists following a meeting in Mogadishu between Defence Ministers Amohamednur and Hassan Omar.
In a statement, the Somali military said the countries agreed to strengthen the military cooperation between the two nations.
The development comes as Somali forces backed by the clan militias enhance operations against al-Shabaab fighters in south-central Somalia.
The allied forces liberated several villages and towns in Hiiraan, Galgadud and Middle Shabelle regions.
The Somali government also claimed to have killed more than 2000 al-Shabaab fighters.
