MOGADISHU (Halbeeg News) – Defense ministers, military commanders from Somalia, Kenya, Djibouti, Ethiopia are in Mogadishu for security conference ahead of Summit for head of states of ‘frontline’ countries.
In a statement, Somali information said the meeting is to discuss the completion of operations to liberate areas still occupied by Al-Shabaab fighters and to coordinate support and cooperation in anti-terrorism efforts.
This meeting of the Ministers of Defense of Somalia, Kenya, Djibouti and Ethiopia is also a prelude to the conference in which the heads of these countries will participate.
The meeting will be chaired by the President of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.
The Federal Government of Somalia will present the general situation of the country, especially the operations against the Al-Shabaab group, and the way they can participate in the forces of the neighboring countries in Somalia.
