MOGADISHU (Halbeeg News) – Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has attended the first Arab-China Summit for Cooperation and Development held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
According to a statement by Vila Somalia, the summit was to bolster partnerships and cooperation in areas of mutual interest to both parties.
The China-Arab States Summit and the China-Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Summit, which brought togather Chinese President Xi Jinping and more than 10 Arab leaders kicked off.
China and Arab countries reaffirmed their commitments to jointly contributing more positive energy to maintaining regional and global peace and stability.
The two sides reiterated that they will continue to firmly back each other’s core interests, support each other in safeguarding national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
They jointly defend the principle of non-interference in other countries’ internal affairs and other basic norms governing international law and international relations.
