MOGADISHU (Halbeeg News) – Somalia’s President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has appointed two new advisors as part of efforts to decentralize his administration and complete the provisional constitution of Somalia.
In a degree issued on Wednesday, President Hassan nominated Dr. Abdirahman Moalim Abdullahi Badiyow as his Advisor on Constitutional Affairs.
Prof. Ahmed Abas Ahmed was also appointed as his Advisor on Federal Affairs.
Dr. Abdirahman Badiyow was most recently the Advisor on Peace and Reconciliation in Prime Minister Kheyre’s government.
Prof. Ahmed Abas was one of the candidates who contested for the Puntland presidency in 2014.
The degree came hours before inauguration ceremony of the 10th President of the Federal Government of Somalia Hassan Sheikh, who won the country’s presidential election on the 15th of last month, is set to take place in Mogadishu on Thursday.
The inauguration ceremony of President Hassan will take place today at the Aficio Tent in Mogadishu, where the final preparations for the inauguration ceremony are underway.
