MOGADISHU (Halbeeg News) – African Union Transitional Mission In Somalia known as Atmis has announced that it has imposed total lock down on Halane camp, a heavily fortified facility in Mogadishu.
According to statement by the mission, the total lockdown will run from April 25th to 28th. This will be the second time the facility put under lockdown.
The mission said the decision to conduct the exercise was reached in consultation the Office of the Somali Prime Minister.
According to the mission, the lockdown of the camp would be imposed to ensure that the exercise is conducted safely and without interference.
The operation of Aden Adde International Airport will not be affected by the security operation announced by the mission as per the statement.
The remarks of Atmis amid the elections of the parliament leadership were announced to take place in the vicinity of the Airforce Hangar will be limited.
