WARSHEIKH ( HALBEEG NEWS) – The President of Hirshabelle state Mohamed Abdi Ware has called for calm and end to atrocities among communities living in the Middle Shabelle region.
The regional leader is on a visit in the ancient tourist town of Warsheikh where clan-related feud led to the death of 92 old men on Tuesday.
Ware urged the two warring sides to end their difference through dialogue with necessary support from his administration.
He said the recent murder of the old man and other violence in the area will threaten the efforts to ensure peace and security in the agriculturally rich region.
During his stay in the coastal town, the President and his team launched several development projects to improve service government delivery to the local population.
