MOGADISHU ( Halbeeg News) – Fahad Yassin, Somalia’s National Intelligence and Security Agency ( NISA) chief, received his Angolan counterpart, José Luís Caetano Higino de Sousa in Mogadishu on Tuesday.
NISA said the two senior intelligence security officials discussed ways to cooperate on combating counter terrorism operations.
” Angolan Spy Chief, Gen. José Luís Caetano Higino de Sousa met NISA Chief, Fahad Yassin in Mogadishu to cooperate on NISA experience in counter-terrorism operations.” NISA revealed on its twitter.
NISA and Angola State Intelligence and Security Service (SINSE) previously cooperated on the investigations of ill fated Dallo airlines mid air bomber on February 2016.
Bomber’s ticket was later traced back to a travel agency office in Luanda.
The suspected bomber was reportedly blown out of the plane in the incident shortly after take-off from Mogadishu.
The a court in Mogadishu sentenced two men to life in prison for masterminding a bomb attack on a Daallo Airlines passenger plane.
Eight other people, including a woman, were sentenced to between six months and four years in prison.
