HUDUR (Halbeeg News) – Southwest leader, Abdiaziz Hussein Lafta-garen has reached Hudur town of Bakool region ahead of Prime minister Hassan Ali’s visit to the town.
The delegation was received by local authorities at the town’s airport.
The advance team is expected to meet with the authorities and the civil society to pave the way for the tour of the PM.
Prime Minister Hassan Ali Kheire is expected to visit the town today to hold discussions with the civil society and the local authorities on means to improve the cooperation between the authorities and the public.
The PM launched development projects in the town which was recaptured six years after Somali army back Ethiopian government.
This would be the first tour to the town by PM Kheire since he assumed the office in 2017.
Al-Shabaab which lost the control of the town in 2013 had imposed a siege on the town, leading to the blockage of humanitarian assistance from reaching vulnerable populations there.
