ANKARA ( Halbeeg News) – Somalia and Turkey have joined agreed to implement a raft of trade agreements aimed at boosting an already thriving economic cooperation between the two countries.
Following a meeting in Istanbul, Somali and Turkish ministers, Abdullahi Ali Hassan and Ruhsar Pekcan respectively joined pledged to lead the ministries in enhancing trade between the sides.
The two Ministers also discussed the accelerations of Turkish development projects in Somalia and to bolster the strategic cooperation
For the last two days, Somali trade minister has been in Turkey following an official invitation by the Turkish trade ministry.
The two countries resolved to convene regular meetings to follow up on the implementation of the agreements.
The two countries had previously signed trade agreements in areas such as energy, mines, electricity, higher education, agriculture, and fisheries.
