HARGEYSA (Halbeeg News)-The leadership of Somaliland administration has pledged to cooperate with the Federal Government of Somalia.
The assurance was made by Somaliland administration leader, Muse Bihi Abdi during his visit in Addis Ababa, where he met Ethiopian Prime Minister, Abiy Ahmed Ali, on Wednesday.
A statement from the Prime Minister’s office posted on official Facebook account confirmed the report saying President Bihi has accepted calls by the Ethiopian leader to strengthen cooperation with the Federal Government in Mogadishu.
“HE. Muse Bihi Abdi has accepted Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed’s call to further strengthen the close working relationship between the Somaliland Administration and Federal Government of Somalia,” a Facebook post said.
The two also discussed and agreed on ways to further strengthen security, and regional integration spearheaded by Ethiopia, Eritrea, and Somalia.
A delegation led by Somaliland President Muse Bihi Abdi arrived in Addis Ababa on Wednesday for an official visit.
President Bihi was accompanied by Foreign Minister, Yassin Hajji Mohamud, Planning and International Cooperation, Saad Ali Shire, Interior Minister, Mohamed Kahin Ahmed, Trade and Industries Mohamud Hassan Sajid.
