NAIROBI (Halbeeg News) – The Police of Kenya have released photos of suspects believed to be linked to the Dusit D2 attack on the 14 Riverside complex which took place mid this month.
The attack which was executed by five heavily armed fighters claimed of lives of 21 people and injured over fifty people.
In a statement, police have named nine suspects and warned the public against them.
The police said the suspects are all armed and dangerous and are believed to be radicalized Kenyans.
They include Violet Kemunto alias Khadija, Dido Mohamed Fugicha alias Dingdong, Hussein Adan Hussein alias Etto, Gadaffi alias Munene, Abdi Ali Kachora, Ramathan Wario Bonaya alias Rasho, Boru Abdi Bidu, Omari and one unnamed middle-aged man.
Al-Shabaab has claimed the responsibility of the attack in which its all five executors were killed by Kenyan forces.
Last Friday, the Police said they had detained nine other suspects in connection with the incident.
Five of the suspects, one of them listed as a Canadian citizen, were taken to a magistrate’s court and ordered detained for 30 days.
Two were taxi drivers and one was a mobile phone financial services agent, court documents said.
The others have not appeared yet. They could have been released or they may be brought before a magistrate on Saturday. Police can hold suspects for 24 hours and need a court order to extend this.
