HARGEISA (Halbeeg News) – 2017-2018 Standard Eight and Form Four examination results in the breakaway Somaliland are out.
The chairperson of the region’s Examination Council, Daud Ahmed Farah released the results on Saturday at the headquarters of the region’s ministry Education in Hargeisa town.
Mr. Farah said a total of 27,746 students sat the primary and secondary examinations.
The highest number since the introduction of the region’s unified exams.
According to the ministry, the secondary students who did the examination are 9,475 and 18,271 pupils from primary schools.
The ministry said 8,358 students have passed the tests that mark the transition from secondary to University.
Of the 18,271 primary candidates, 16,604 scored 400 marks and above out of the possible 1,000
However, some 2,516 learners from both secondary and students failed to manage the passing marks.
