MOGADISHU ( Halbeeg News)-President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo on Monday addressed the parliament during of fourth session the House at Police Academy in Mogadishu.
In a sitting escaped by the senators over technical and Security issues, President Farmajo said he is committed to improve all sectors of economy.
He said his government worked with international Financial Institutions to ensures the debt relief process is accelerated.
“The country fulfilled all conditions needed for the debt relief process and resulted European Union (EU) to pledge to contribute 120 million USD to Somalia’s budget,” he said.
President Farmajo has urged the public to support the government in the process of rebuilding the country.
“The prosperous and development of a nation depends on how its people join hands, as Somalis say ‘Only the water in your hands can quench your thirst’,” he urged.
Speaking about today’s deadly bomb blast, the President wished quick recovery for those injured in the blast.
He also extended his condolences to the families of the victims killed in the suicide attack claimed by Al-Shabab fighters.
