MOGADISHU (Halbeeg News) – Somali Federal parliament will resume its sittings next month after a two-month recess, its leadership confirmed Monday.
The Lower House and the Upper House went on recess on 11th July following four-month long House Business.
In a statement, the speaker of the Lower House, Mohamed Mursal Sheikh said the parliament will be reopened on 10th of next month.
“The reopening date of the 4th session of the Lower House is scheduled to be 10th of September,” Sheikh said in the statement.
The speaker urged the lawmaker in abroad to return home to participate in the session.
According to the reliable sources, President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo will open the 4th session of the parliament.
