JIGJIGA( Halbeeg News)- The Ministry of Defense said it will take the necessary measures in line with the constitution to restore order in the Ethiopian Somali regional state.
The violence, which occurred in Jijiga town today, the seat of the regional state, and which spread to other towns of the state, is unacceptable under any circumstances, the Ministry said in a statement sent to FBC today.
The violence should be deterred and rectified immediately as it posed a threat to residents of the regional state.
Accordingly, the Ministry will not sit by and watch. It will take the necessary measures to ensure that peace and security of resident of the regional state are secured, the statement added.
The Ministry said security forces, in collaboration of residents are working jointly to restore peace in areas affected by conflicts and violence.
The statement further said the people of Ethiopia are taking active part in the reforms underway across the country.
