CAPE TOWN (Halbeeg) – Unidentified armed bandits on Tuesday night shot to death two Somali traders in Cape town of South Africa.
The traders who were identified as Ismail Omar Maow and Ali Mohamed Adow were killed in their shops by the gunmen before they made away with cash.
Three other traders were also injured in the attack executed by the South African gangsters.
The killing of the traders comes just a days after another was killed in the same area.
No arrest was made so far by South Africa Police.
This year, Amnesty International accused the South African government of lacking the political will to take on xenophobic attacks.
“There is a lack of political will on the part of the government to deal with issues of violence and xenophobia in a sustainable way, and the consequence of this inertia has resulted in continuing sporadic bursts of violence which often end in deaths, injuries and damage to property,” said Shenilla Mohamed, Executive Director of Amnesty International South Africa.
