Puntland leader, Abdiweli Ali Gaas has opened newly constructed road in Garowe town, the administrative capital of Puntland state.
The Ministerial road which is a two-lane highway has been paved recently by the administration of Puntland state with the support of Public.
The new road which built at a cost of $200,000, runs through the town and expected to decongest the jam and facilitate easy movement of people within the town.
Speaking to the media, Gaas said the new road will ease the movement of people and goods and will also improve trade and economy.
“All this investment in infrastructure we are making here in the town is meant to make transport easy and to stimulate economic growth that will create the much-needed jobs,” he said.
He noted that the newly constructed roads in Garowe town will doll up the town.
“The roads will adorn the town and will make it attractive,” he added.
The construction of this road which extends approximately more than 1.5-Km approaches a time intensive efforts to improve the infrastructure of Puntland remains at its peak.
