Somali military court on Thursday postponed the hearing of a case against a soldier who allegedly killed his wife in Kismayo town of Southern Somalia.
Abdullahi Asad Ismail was accused of killing his wife mid this month.
The military court has delayed the hearing of the case against Ismail to 15th May.
The judge of the court, Bashiir Mohamud Hared said the hearing of the case was set for next month to give the prosecutors time to gather evidence against Ismail.
“I hereby inform the public that the hearing of case against Ismail to take place on 15th May therefore the court asks the prosecutors to gather supportive evidence for the case against Mohamed,” said Hared.
The first hearing of the case against Ismail took place on 25th May where he insisted to be innocent.
Ismail reportedly married the victim who was identified as Muhubo Mohamed Gure Mid January this year.
Reports says Muhubo was pregnant during the murder.
