Somali Security Ministry is scheduled to open National Security Meeting in Garowe, the administrative capital of Puntland.
The conference which is expected to start on Wednesday will convene security ministries from Puntland, Galmudug, Southwest, Hirshabelle, Jubbaland states and officials from Benadir Region.
The forum will focus on the progress acheived by the states and means to improve the security.
The participants will also discuss on the stabilization of major towns, opening of supply routes, participation in offensive operations and ability of Somali forces to hold recovered areas.
Following the establishment of the National Security Architecture (NSA), the government has been struggling to address the security challenges in Somalia.
The government stared integration of forces from the states into Somali National Army.
Puntland and Jubbaland have so far integrated thousands of their forces into the army.
Under the new structure, Somalia will have for a start 18,000 ground troops as the country builds its navy and air force.
