A lightning strike has killed a man and his newly-wed wife in Ari-addays village, 30km South of Abudwaq town of Galgaduud region.
Relatives of the victims who spoke to the media said the couple was struck while they were inside their house last night at around 10pm.

The Gu’ rains which started late March and crossed to over April is continuing to cause havoc in flood prone zones in South and Central Somalia.
The local authorities in Hiran and Galgaduud regions are calling on the humanitarian aid agencies and the Federal Government to respond urgently before the situation turns into tragic.
Despite the destruction, the rains covered most parts of the country have encouraged many farmers to start early plaiting of crops, according to a report by United Nations.
The report which was released on Monday says the continued rise of Shabelle and Jubba Rivers in March and April will enhance opportunities for crop cultivation in the river basin where crop land has inundated.
