MOGADISHU( Halbeeg News- Banadir regional administration has started the rebuilding of district headquarters destroyed in the armed group al-Shabaab attacks last year.
The deputy governor responsible for finance and management, Hussein Mohamed Nur, has laid the foundation stone for Hodan district headquarters on Sunday.
The deputy mayor said the modern facility would be constructed in the district headquarters to bring public services closer to the residents.
On his part, Hodan district commissioner, Abdulhakim Abdulrahman, has stressed the need to rebuild the damaged facility saying it is significant for the provision of essential government services to the residents.
The renovation of Howlwadag district headquarters which has also suffered damages following botched attack is also ongoing.
Suicide car bomb explosions destroyed Hodan district headquarters on September last year, and more than ten people killed in the attack claimed by Al-Shabaab.
