NAIROBI (Halbeeg News)- The Federal Government of Somalia has strongly condemned an attack in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi on Tuesday.
“The Federal government of Somalia expresses its strong condemnation of the terrorist attack on Tuesday at Dusit D2 hotel complex in Nairobi.” the statement issued by the ministry of foreign affairs said.
Mogadishu said the heinous act of terror which routinely targets innocent people reveal the hideous face of terrorism adding that its full solidarity with the people and government of Kenya.
“The Federal Republic of Somalia extends its sincere condolences to the families of the victims of the barbaric terrorist attack and wishes speedy recovery of the injured, affirming full solidarity with the government of the Republic of Kenya in its war against terror.”
Armed group Al-shabaab claimed the responsibility of the attack targeted on Dusit 2 hotel in wetlands neighbourhood in the capital.
At least 15 people were confirmed dead and scores others wounded but the casualties might increase since there are still active gunshots and explosions heard in the crime scene.
