MOGADISHU (Halbeeg News) – AMISOM forces have launched security operations in Daynunay villages in the outskirt of Baidoa town a week after Al-Shabaab attacked the village.
According to the reports, heavily armed Ethiopian troops under the umbrella of African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) who reached the village yesterday evening have started combing the village and its environs.
The residents of the village express fear of possible clashes between the troops and Al-Shabab fighters based in the outskirt of the village.
Somali military and AMISOM officials have not yet commented on the operations in Daynunay village.
