MOGADISHU (Halbeeg News) – The fourth session of the Somali Upper House is officially expected to open today at the capital Mogadishu, after three months of break.
Hundreds of security forces intensified their presence around the building of Senate House increasing the number of checkpoints as they inspect vehicles heading to the compound.
Leaders of the federal government are scheduled to attend the opening of the fourth session.
The fourth session of the Upper House is expected to be the busiest session as the members have to cover several tasks that have developed on their break including the stalemate between the Somali government and its member states.
The members of the Senate have taken a break on July 10, 2018, after when houses finished its four-month-long Houses Business.
