CAPE TOWN (Halbeeg News) – Mohamed Ismail Kiish, a well-known Somali trader was killed in East London, the latest string of attacks against Somali entrepreneurs in South Africa.
According to sources, Kiish was killed after unknown assailants broke into the shop in Eastern Cape.
The attackers made away with an unspecified amount of cash and other valuable things.
Locals also confirmed that the destroyed CCTV camera.
Somalis in the town said Kiish, who had lived in Eastern Cape for many years was a known elder who was instrumental in dispute resolution among Somalis in South Africa.
Police said investigations were underway into the killing of the trader.
