HANOI (Halbeeg News) – The government of Vietnam has urged international community to help Somalia improve it’s economy and and infrastructure.
Addressing the UN Security Council, Dang Dinh Quy, head of the Vietnamese Permanent Mission to the UN expressed sympathy over difficulties that Somalia is facing due to the multiple disasters of locust, flooding and the COVID-19 pandemic.
He said his government is committed to support the efforts by the Somali Government in organising election.
He called on all parties to strengthen dialogue and mutual trust to resolve their differences.
The ambassador condemned terror attacks by al-Shabaab fighters to undermine p ace in Somalia.
He stated his government will continue to joining hands with the UN as well as regional and international organisations in assisting Somalia for the goal of peace, stability and development.
