Columbus (Halbeeg News) – Columbus Police responded to a crash between several cars that killed three people on I-71 North near 11th Avenue.
Two Somali girls died in a grisly a crash between several cars on I-71 North near 11th Avenue in Columbus.
The accident occurred Sunday, just after 1:35 a.m.
A man identified as Gabriel Ried Akomeah, 34, of Columbus was driving northbound on I-71 at East 11th Avenue when he left the roadway on the left and struck the median wall before striking another vehicle. Several other cars also crashed in the incident.
Amal Mohamed, Anisa Abdi Karim, and Amina Mohamed were traveling in a 2009 Toyota Corolla struck by Johnson’s car.
Amal Mohamed and Anisa Abdi Karim were pronounced dead at the scene. Amina Mohamed was taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in critical condition.
Another man also died at the scene as the police report.
