MOGADISHU (Halbeeg) – At least five people including government workers are feared dead when two car bombs detonated at the gates of Somali Interior Ministry headquarters in Mogadishu, Somalia’s capital on Saturday.
An unspecified number of gunmen have entered the building of the ministry after the blasts.
Amin Ambulance Service confirmed the injures 17 others.
The security forces have reportedly concluded the siege at the ministry.
Somali Minister for Information, Dahir Mohamud Guelleh is expected to address the media on the attack soon.
Al-Shabab group claimed responsibility for the twin attacks in Mogadishu.
