MOGADISHU (Halbeeg News) – Unidentified assailants armed with pistols have killed the Afgoye district’s youth leader in the Afgoye town of Lower Shabelle region.
According to police in Afgoye town, Mohamed Haji Hassan was killed in Hawa Tako neighbourhood of Afgoye district.
Afgoye district commissioner, Abdullahi Mohamed Osman has condemned the murder of the chairperson.
Osman expressed his condolences on the killing of Hassan, saying the police to bring the perpetrators to justice.
“May Allah has mercy on Mohamed who was an important member of the District Administration. He was a young man who worked as a leader for the youth of the district.,” said Osman.
Al-Shabaab claimed the responsibility for the murder of Osman, saying its hit squad targeted the officials and recovered his pistol.
