LONDON (Halbeeg News) – UK government has replaced its ambassador to Somalia after one year in office.
A brief dispatch from the Foreign and Commonwealth office said Ms. Kate Foster OBE has been appointed Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Somalia in succession to Mr David Concar.
The outgoing ambassador is said to have been transferred to another Diplomatic Service appointment.
Mr Fender took up his appointment in February 2019.
The new ambassador will be take office next month, According to UK government.
Ms. Foster has extensive experience in north Africa dating back to 2004, after she left the private sector to work for the UNHCR.
Most recently it is believed she attended a government Staff Course in preparation for her posting.
