MOGADISHU (Hakbeeg News) – Two heavy explosions have hit a military convoy and military base in Mogadishu and Balidogle, just 90km away from Somali capital respectively.
Witnesses say an Italian convoy travelling near Jalle-Siyad academy in Mogadishu was hit by landmine suspected to have been planted on the roadside.
There was no immediate information on possible casualties.
Meanwhile, Vehicle Borne improvised explosive (BVIED) hit Ballidogle airport, the base for US troops training Somali Special Forces which is located 90 km away from Mogadishu.
Al-Shabaab claimed the responsibility for the attack on Balidogle.
