GARISSA (Halbeeg News) – At least two Kenyan soldiers have been reportedly went missing following an attack by al-Shabaab in Garissa.
Armed men suspected to be al-Shabaab fighters on Wednesday raided Amuma police patrol base in Fafi constituency.
Initial indicated a police officer was killed and another one sustained injuries.
The officers were at the base when the gunmen who were heavily armed fired at them for about 10 minutes before escaping.
The station’s armoury was badly damaged in the attack.
Garissa police boss Emmanuel Opuru Thursday on Thursday said the authorities came realised that two who went missing are suspected to had been abducted by the attackers.
Al-Shabaab did not comment on the incident but previously stated attack on Kenyan police posts.
