MOGADISHU (Halbeeg News) – At least two people including a civilian were and several other sustained injuries after bomb exploded in Marka town of Lower Shabelle region.
Witnesses told the local media that an IED suspected to have been planted on roadside near Ga’al garage in the town has gone off.
The explosion happened mid Wednesday morning.
Witnesses said the police officers near the scene opened fire after the blast but no one was reported to have sustained injuries as a result of the heavy gunfire from government soldiers stationed at Marka police station near Awale garage.
No group claimed the responsibility for the attack but it has the hallmarks of al-Shabaab attacks.
