MOGADISHU (Halbeeg News) – At least six people have been killed and 13 others injured after two suicide car bombs occurred in the Somali capital Mogadishu.
According to witnesses, the first blast reportedly hit a security checkpoint near the national theatre in central Mogadishu.
Minutes later another huge explosion was heard near the area and white plume of smoke could be seen above the area.
It is not yet clear the target of the blasts that shattered a month-long period of calm in the city.
No group has yet claimed the responsibility of the bombings though Al-Shabaab previously carried out deadly attacks in Mogadishu.
