MOGADISHU (Halbeeg News) – Turkey condemned Monday’s deadly terror attack that killed at least 10 people in Somalia’s capital of Mogadishu.
Al-Shabab suicide bomber has detonated explosive-laden car at the gate of Hodan District headquarters.
In a statement, the Foreign Ministry said: “We have learnt with great sorrow the terrorist attack perpatrated in Mogadishu, resulting in numerous deaths and the injury of many others.”
“We strongly condemn this treacherous attack that aims to undermine the stability of Somalia,” reads the statement.
The government of Turkey wished quick recovery for those injured in the blast.
“We wish God’s mercy upon those who lost their lives, a speedy recovery to the wounded and convey our condolences to the Government and the people of Somalia,” the Turkish foreign Ministry condoled.
Al-Shabab has claimed responsibility for the latest attack on offices of Mogadishu local government.
On Sept. 2, the group launched a similar attack on Howlwadag headquarters, killing at least three people.
Active for the last decade, the group carry out regular bombings and armed assaults on government, military and civilian targets in the capital.
