NAIROBI ( Halbeeg News) – Kenyan security agencies arrested three officers for robbery on Saturday.
The three police officers attached to Kayole Police Station and a Cameroonian nationals were detained after they robbed two people of USD 60,000 (Sh6 million) Somali dominated neighborhood of Eastleigh, Nairobi.
Two other suspects are at large.
According to local media, the robbery took place at Barwqo Lodge, on Eight Street, Second Avenue in Eastleigh.
Police recovered three pistols with 45 rounds of ammunition and USD 35, 200.
Detectives launched operation for the two suspects, who are believed to be in possession of the rest of the money.
This is not the first time members of the law enforcement agencies were caught in criminal acts.
Last week, three security officers were arrested in Wajir for transiting the assortment of drugs in government vehicles on their way to the capital, Nairobi.
