Three men who are accused of being members of the Al-Shabaab on Saturday appeared before Somali military court in Mogadishu for the first hearing of the charges against them.
Mohamed Abdirahman Mohamud, Mohamed Ali Abdi and Ahmed Adan Werar Dhagahow are allegedly said to have been bomb experts and have been working with Al-Shabab.
It was alleged that they were arrested at Elasha-Biyaha town in Lower Shabelle region by Somali forces during security operation early this month.
The prosecutors noted that the security forces arrested the trio with explosive gadgets but said that they found impossible to display the gadgets before the court due to the safety.
The men were also accused of fighting alongside the group against Somali forces before they were apprehended.
One of the lawyers representing the three suspects called on the persecutors to present evidence supporting the charges against his clients.
The court ordered that the matter to be adjourned to an specified date so as to enable the prosecutors to presents their supportive evidence case against the trio.
Somali military court has previously sentenced dozens of Al-Shabab members to death and jail terms after it found them guilty.
