The presidents of the federal republic of Somalia, Kenya and Djibouti have centured the attack of civilians in Addis Ababa on Saturday.
President Farmajo said he was touched by the inhumane attack against civilians adding that it will not stop the progress in Ethiopia.
“I am saddened by the senseless attack on the innocent victims in Addis Ababa. These acts by a few cowards would not deter progress in #Ethiopia. I spoke on the phone with H.E Abiy Ahmed. My thoughts and prayers are with them”
On other hand President Uhuru Kenyatta has condemned as cowardly and outrageous an attack in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa which killed one person and left dozens injured.
President Kenyatta offered his deepest condolences and solidarity to Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and the people of of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, saying Kenya stood with Ethiopia during this time.
“We stand with you, Prime Minister, and the people of Ethiopia against these cowardly people,” the President said.
“We will never bow to those who carry out these heinous acts,” President Kenyatta added.
The President further noted that the character of our two nations is bound by a timeless bond of friendship that the perverse ideologues of extremist networks can never break.
President Kenyatta urged Prime Minister Abiy to continue the task of uniting the Ethiopian people, ensuring the stability of the country and sustained growth of its economy.
President Ismail Omar Guelleh of Djibouti strongly condemned the attempted assassination against Ethiopian PM Abiy Ahmed.
” We strongly condemn the attempted attack on prime minister Abiy Ahmed Ali. The attack bears bears the signatures
of small groups who oppose the bold reforms to develop and strengthen the national unity initiated
by the prime minister as soon as he took office” said president Guelleh.
