The ministry of education of federal government of Somalia has announced the exact date when the students in Beledweyne will sit for the unified secondary examinations.
The minister for education of federal government of Somalia, Abdirahman Dahir Osman stated that over 1400 students in Beledweyne district whose national examinations was postponed due to the floods of river Shabelle will sit for the unified national examinations on 24th of June 2018.
“After consultations, I will notify all Beledweyne students whose exams was postponed due to the floods that they will sit for their examinations of the academic year 2017/2018 on 24th of June, 2018” the minister said in a post on his facebook account.
The minister wished success to all the students sitting for this year’s national examinations.
“I wish you all success in your national examinations, I hope you will achieve good results in the examinations” the minister said.
The prime minister of Somalia, Hassan Ali Khayre has kick started this year’s national examination for secondary schools.
27,600 Somali students in Mogadishu and the regional states in South and Central Somalia sat for the Centralized examinations conducted at 77 centers across the regions.
However the ministry has postponed the examinations of over 1400 students in Beledweyne and surrounding areas whose classes were annihilated by the floods after river Shabelle breached its banks.
