GURIEL (Halbeeg News) – One of Somalia’s National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) commissioners in central Somalia has survived bomb attack on his residential house.
According to sources, unidentified men have thrown hand grenade into the home of Abdullahi Abdi Raghe, high rank NISA official in Guriel.
The assailants reportedly escaped from scene before the security forces arrived at scene.
Attack has not caused casualties.
The security forces arrived at the scene and launch investigation into the incident.
No group has yet claimed the responsibility for the attack but it has the hallmarks of al-Shabaab attacks against the government officials
Al-Shabaab which once controlled large swath territories including the capital has charged tactical attacks after it lost many parts of its territories to Somali military backed by African Union troops.
The group carries out bomb attacks, assassinations and raids on military barracks.
